GETTING HERE
Parking
A dedicated car park for Tattoo visitors will be available throughout the festival, organised by the Municipality of Avenches. Please note that an equestrian event will be taking place at the IENA site at the same time. On arrival, please follow the “MANIFESTATION TATTOO” signs and the directions given by staff.
A parking fee of CHF 5 per vehicle will be charged by the Municipality.
In the event of rain, vehicles will be redirected to paved parking areas. Please follow the road signs and directions provided. Shuttle buses will be available.
Special Parade Parking
On Saturday 5 September 2026, for the parade at 11.00am, free parking will be available and is recommended at the sports ground next to Avenches railway station. From there, the town centre is approximately a 10-minute walk away. From 11.30am, free shuttle buses will take you from the town centre to the Swiss National Stud Farm after the parade, and back to the railway station (next to the sports ground) after the show. Alternatively, you can return to your car after the parade and drive directly to the parking area at the Swiss National Stud Farm.

Free shuttle buses, organised by the Municipality of Avenches, will operate throughout the three days of the festival between:
– Avenches town centre (Collège Sous-Ville bus stop)
– Avenches railway station
– The Swiss National Stud Farm (in front of the Tattoo Square)

Timetable:
Thursday & Friday: 5.00pm – midnight, every 20 minutes. A reduced service will operate from midnight until 2.00am.
Saturday: 11.30am – midnight, every 20 minutes. A reduced service will operate from midnight until 2.00am.
